First solids (Rice cereal). He acted like it was no big deal, like he had been eating solids forever.

First trip to the zoo

Houston.... we have TEETH!

Two bottom ones have broken the skin and the top two are not far behind!!! And, they are the CUTEST teeth we have ever seen!!!!!!!!! (really they are!)

4 month check-up

We had Landon's 4 month check-up yesterday and he is PERFECT (duh!) In all seriousness though, he got a clean bill of health and we are so, so thankful for that!

His stats:
Weight 18 lbs. 12 oz (97%)
Height 26.5 (95%)

We got the green light to go ahead and start solids since obviously he is getting plenty of calories through milk. I went to Target and bought some supplies to get started.... then I got home and started having second thoughts... eating solids is a BIG step! My little baby is growing up :-( I know he is ready though, so we will get started soon!

I am going to eat what, Mom?!?!!?

Well, the box is fun to play with so this is a good start!

Like this, Mom?!?!!?
My mouth is a hard target!!

This is going to be FUN!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

One of our pool parties was rained out this weekend and I was about to go crazy if Landon didn't get to wear one of his many swim outfits! Finally, today we were able to go swimming with my mommy walking group (plus babies and husbands!). Landon was a little unsure of the cold pool water at first (I guess he prefers his warm bath water!), but he liked his car floatie and I am sure the next time we go will be even more fun! We also want to start swim lessons soon so hopefully I will have a little fish (and a good excuse to go to the pool and get some sun! :-) )

Super baby!!!

Watching daddy shave

Watch me grow!

(He isn't as "smiley" in his 4 month pictures because it was nap time :-( ) But that's okay- the point is to see how much the chunky monkey has grown- right?!?!

Four Months is FUN!

I love sitting in my highchair!

I am so glad I found my tongue! I stick it out all the time now!

Being so cute is EXHAUSTING!

Uncle Ty graduated from ASU!!

Driving from Houston to Lampasas, Lampasas to San Angelo and then back to Lampasas in less than 24 hours was tiring!

Nana and grandpa were already in San Angelo so I snuck in their bed :-)

The whole gang

I love watching the puppies at Nana and grandpa's house!

Chillin' at the mall.... shopping isn't so bad after all!

My first Astros game! I loved it!
Landon is really starting to show his little personality these days!!! As long as he is entertained, he is happy! The minute he gets "bored" we all know it! He is very loyal to his 8 pm bedtime and let's us know when it is time to get the nighttime routine started! If we are out late and he is entertained, he could stay up forever (Astros game, we were at the game until 10ish and he never fussed!) and doesn't cry at all. If we are out past his bedtime and there isn't a lot of entertainment for him (like dinner w/ friends), he is good for a while, but eventually lets us know it is time to go & pay attention to him :-) Overall though, he is such an easy going baby and we know how lucky we are! He laughs and smiles more and more every day! He is in a really fun stage and we love it!

Catch up!

I haven't updated Landon's blog in forever! It's like we have been taking care of a 4 month old or something :-) Yep, that's right- I said a FOUR MONTH OLD! Wow! Here is our "sneak peek" from his 3.5 month photoshoot. Everyone comments on two things:
1. How chunky he is (and of course how cute he is... but that goes without saying...)
2. How much he looks like Jason

We think he is the cutest little thing ever!

He LOVES to cuddle in the mornings! He wakes up smiling! Jason, who used to go to work at 5 am, now often stays "late" with us and we all hang out before daycare in the morning! We still have to get there early to get the good swing at daycare :-)

My first Mother's Day was wonderful! My mom and I went to the Trellis Spa at the Houstonian. It was awesome!!! Landon got me cupcakes from Crave, Lady Gaga cd, made me several cards (some with his daycare teacher's help, and some with daddy's help) and.... the long awaited IPOD! I have finally entered the world of IPODS :-) Jason said he held up a purple and a pink one and Landon reached for the pink one- so the pink one won! Good job baby! Mommy loves pink!

A few weeks ago Jason had to take him to the dr. for a snotty nose and he weighed 16 lbs. 11 oz. Woah baby! He is definitely a chunky monkey! Since that was a few weeks ago, he probably weighs 30 lbs. now :-) We are looking forward to our four month appointment and possibly starting some solid foods! Although he has done quite well on his all liquid diet :-)

He loves to laugh at Jason and I and realizes how funny his mommy and daddy really are :-) He also loves to play with ALL his toys. Our living room looks like his daycare center! Soon we just need to move out our furniture and replace it all with his play mats!
