Babies Gone Bad

Only writing this because one day it will be funny (maybe)

Tonight, August 25, 2010, Landon was absolutely, 100% horrible at a restaurant. He threw his food, refused to sit down, ran away, threw his sippie in sour cream, etc. You get the picture, it was horrible!!!!!!!!! To make matters worse, there was a news anchor filming directly on our table a live shot for the 5 pm news since Pearland's Little League team is in the World Series. Hopefully Landon's tantrum won't make it on You Tube as Babies Gone Bad :-(

In his defense though, he had been sitting in his stroller for 1.5 hrs while I was at the doctor right before we went to eat. Even my dr. commented on how good he was and how she had never seen a 1 1/2 yr old sit so still and be so quiet. So I guess he had a lot of energy he needed to release at the restaurant & did he ever! Our poor friends that were with us will probably think twice before they meet us for dinner again!

Random Cell Phone Shots

Favorite things to do this week:
1. Take my keys and dump my wallet out all over the floor. He is very entertained by the cards in my wallet. At home, its not a big deal... in the middle of the store floor during tax free weekend- not so fun!
2. Lock me out of my bedroom or bathroom (purchased baby proof doorknobs last night)
3. Wave very excitedly and say "Hi" to everyone... random strangers look at us like "Do we know you??"

Just typing these things make me laugh because he laughs all the time (especially when doing the above things) and has such a fun personality ... Now we will see what he is up to next week!

18 months

So late on this post- Landon will be 19 months next week :-( But I have to remember the fun stuff he is doing now. He is at such a fun age!!!!

Reading books in his new playroom upstairs. Landon LOVES to read. His favorites are Baby Animals, Farm Animals, and The Nose Book by Dr. Seuss.

Landon is so much better at restaurants now. As long as we don't make him sit in the horrendous highchair or use the dreadful booster seat. He is 18 months after all, so he thinks he should sit in the big chairs all alone!

Animals noises: snake, chicken (with a one armed chicken wing movement too), duck, cow, bear, dog, makes fish face

New words: nana, papa, Ty, Zach, ball, shoes

VERY attached to blankie and monkey or pooh right now. Carries them around everywhere at home & daycare.

Our little gatherer. He loves to collect items & carry them around. Favorites: blankie, monkey or pooh, camera, cell phones, cords, and tuperware- basically, anything he can fit in his hands.

He loves our camera! He accidentially dropped and broke it so we had to buy a new one! Now he has the old one as his very own!!!

Beach Vacay

We went to Galveston for a long weekend with Nana, Papa and Uncles Ty & Zach. We had so much fun! Landon even got to stay an extra night with just Nana and Papa and go to Moody Gardens. He had lots of fun! He loved playing in the water and sand- very unlike our Hawaii vacation a couple of months ago when he hated it all! I guess he just prefers the muddy Gulf of Mexico over the beautiful blue Pacific waters??? He's a Texas boy!
