Mother's Day 2012

Muffins with Mom breakfast at school.  Ashlyn was very excited to eat in the cafeteria since she normally eats in her room and Landon was very excited to have me eating breakfast with him (and also the muffins and fruit for the moms that I gave him :-)  )  We had talked about the breakfast all week and Landon was very excited for mommy to stay in the cafe with him.

They are starting to look more and more alike!

Mother's Day Brunch with Nana, Papa, Ty and Jenny.  The babies had chocolate chip pancakes.

Beautiful crafts from school

These 2 little chickens made my Mother's Day perfect, but with these two every day is wonderful, funny, stressful, busy, heart warming and full of love!  I have the best babies ever!!!

Opening Day April 6, 2012

Landon,
I've been meaning to write this for a long time.  I can't believe how much you have grown in just one year.  We have a mini tradition just you and Daddy going to Opening Day.  We went in 2011 and 2012.

                       2011                                                                        2012
I told Mommy that I think they made the baseballs smaller this year, but she assures me that they have not!

            2011                                                                                                                     2012
The Budweiser Horses You were so excited!  You kept telling me how we had seen two times without Mommy and Ashie and that they needed to see them.

Smiling before the game got started!

All week long you kept telling mommy you were going to eat her hot dog, and you made sure I took a picture to show her that you did.

Wearing a "rally hat" hoping that the Astros would come back and win.

We moved so that you could watch the post game Fireworks.

 Watching the Fireworks!!!!!

I hadn't even made it out of the parking lot before you had fallen asleep!  When we got home you woke up and told Mommy all about the game, and in mid sentence you just fell asleep again, Mommy and I both laughed so hard.

Landon, I love you more than you ever can imagine, and can't wait to go to more baseball games with you.
Love, Daddy

Typical

Pictures from our everyday life... so we never forget how precious these days are!

Snacks outside

Praying over their snacks

Landon driving his truck around

I put Ashlyn down to take a quick picture of her and she's wanting me to pick her back up.

Picking Strawberries

I took the babies to pick Strawberries at a farm this morning (Jason had to work).  They both did great and picked lots of strawberries!

Ashlyn really got into it and loved finding big, red strawberries.  Next time I am going to have to buy her her own bucket.  She did a great job!

Of course Landon was all business and did great picking lots of good strawberries!

They also had a little market where they picked out vegetables.  Landon picked zucchini (circles)- his favorite and green beans.  Ashlyn picked bananas- her favorite.

We had lunch, snow cones and our fresh strawberries.

What cute little berries!

Swim Lessons

Landon finished his 2 week swim class/boot camp.  He had to lessons every day for 2 weeks.  It was crazy!  He started off the first few days crying- partly scared and partly because he was sick- and after the 3rd day was an old pro and couldn't wait to go back.  His teacher taught him how to float on his back all the way to the side of the pool and wait until he was touching the side to get out along with kicking, breath control, etc.  Now we get to do "maintenance" lessons- only once a week!

Every night after lessons we would go to a different place and get ice cream.  Landon's favorite is Dippin' Dots!

On the last night, they let the parents in the pool area- not behind the glass where we normally had to watch.  It was really neat to be so close and hear what his teacher was telling them.
Practicing kicks with barbells

This is what Ashie did while brother was hard at work ;-)   She played in the play kitchen, grill, and rocking horses.  She had an absolute blast!

Getting his certificate from his teacher Miss Samantha.  He was promoted from Guppy to the Goldfish level!!!

Landon was very, very proud of his certificate because during the first few days when he didn't want to go, I told him he had to finish the 2 weeks to get a certificate to take to school for their waterpark and to use for our neighborhood waterpark.  His teachers at school went along with it and told him they needed the certificate for him to be able to do their waterpark at school.  So this certificate meant A LOT to Landon and his summer plans!!!!

We are so proud of our goldfish Landon!!

Spring Break 2012

While Mommy and Daddy were relaxing in the Bahamas, Nana & Papa came to stay with the babies! They had a blast- I am not sure they even knew we were gone- but oh my gosh- I missed them horribly! Don't think I'll be able to do that again anytime soon! But they had a blast, so thanks Nana & Papa for keeping them- they LOVED it!

Sorry, the pictures are completely out of order but they went the Children's Museum, Chuck E. Cheese, a bike themed birthday party/parade, the zoo and fishing.
