And...... we're off!!! New Orleans Bound!
Dinner at Palace Cafe.... sooooo good! We walked around for a while, but Saturday night in New Orleans is pretty crazy so we retreated to the safety of our hotel room with Hurricanes for the adults, cookies for the kids, and new book about New Orleans to look at while watching movies.
8 am and on the streets! First people up in the whole city! Ready to go!
Yummy breakfast at Cafe du Monde
Jackson Square
Bourbon Street
Jackson Square
Landon's highlight- riding the street car! He was sooo excited to do this!
One last delicious meal in New Orelans, then we had to leave for Florida.
Florida bound.... Woooooo hooooo!
Ready to swim
World's best babies!!
Our view every morning while eating breakfast
What the heck?!?!?!
Jumping for joy! FLORIDA!!!!
Landon really learned to swim this summer. He is a little fish!
And jump in... which scares me to death 99.9% of the time
"Floating like the big kids" as Ashlyn says. She loves to float around the pool. She kicks her feet to move around in the water and then says "Hey, who splashed me?" when she splashes herself! Silly girl!!!
Dinner on the beach at the Elephant Walk Cafe
Dinner & fun at the Village at Baytown Wharf (note the big storm in the background)
The storm caught us on the carousel. It poured, we ran and grabbed a shuttle back to our hotel. We waited out the storm, then went to play putt-putt.
Our favorite things we will miss from Destin:
Landon swimming like a fish in the ocean with his goggles and looking at fish. He loved it!
Ashlyn playing in the sand and getting her legs buried
Our huge floor to ceiling windows throughout the condo- where we watched rainstorms, lighting and people watched a lot!
Coke for breakfast
Taking 2 plus hour naps daily
Sadly- we had to leave! Ashlyn fell asleep as soon as we got in the car.
The kids got a little stir crazy on the way home!
