Storybook pumpkins

Both kids' schools had a storybook pumpkin contest. We had lots of fun making the pumpkins together. 

(Ashlyn has more time to take pics these days. Landon is too busy!)

Ashlyn was so nervous abut "winning" the contest. She woke up the night before nervous & talking about how she hoped she won. Proud to say her My Little Pony was awarded "fanciest"!!! Yeah Ashlyn!!!!

Rolled over!

Addison rolled over tummy to back for the first time this morning 10-10-15. We were all there watching her and got it on video! We were cheering so loud she was really startled at the end. She did it one more time then I held her and she went straight to sleep. Rolling over is hard work!!!

Nurses every 3 hours except does one long stretch of 5 hours at night

Goes right back to sleep after nursing at night

Likes her wub a nub puppy pacifier

Hates her car seat and getting too hot

Is held all the time except at night to sleep

1st road trip and vacation 10-3/10-5

Is the sweetest and prettiest baby

We are so lucky you are ours!!!

Hill country weekend

First road trip! 10-3-15

Perfect weekend with our friends in the Hill country! The kids swam for 3 days straight, went down the slides 678567854
times and circled the lazy river probably that much too!  The baby chilled by the pool and slept and never fussed. So much fun!!!!

Addison Brynn Sharp

Addison Brynn Sharp- this is YOUR story.  We love you, we love you, we love you!!! Thank God you are a part of our family.  Our family was not complete until August 9, 2015.

 For this child I have prayed and the Lord has granted the desires of my heart  1 Samuel 1:27

Addison Brynn: your birth story really starts on Friday, July 31 at my 36 week appointment. My amniotic fluid was low (7) and I was told to spend the next week drinking as much fluid as I could and stay out of the heat (record temps in Houston this summer!) After swimming with your brother and sister all summer, this was a drastic change. We spent the week indoors watching movies and relaxing. 

At  my 37 week appointment on August 7, the fluid had dropped to a 4-- despite my very best efforts. I was very upset, but I knew you were safer on the outside than inside at this point. 

And so they admitted me to the antepartum unit for observation and fluids. 

We spent the weekend here waiting for you. Facetiming these cuties while they were having fun with Nana & Papa 

They slept in our bed together the 4 nights we were in the hospital.

The on call ob/gyn, Dr. McIntosh,  thought it would be better to deliver you than to continue with fluids. I was so happy & relieved. I knew it was time! On 8-8 she planned your induction for first thing in the morning on 8-9. I spent all day/night worrying we would get bumped by other urgent deliveries. But we didn't!!! :)

Finally, it was time to move to Labor & Delivery. The nurses picked me up at 8 am and moved me to the L&D Suite.

2:51 pm-  One last hug and kiss before I delivered you.

3:57 pm. Our lives forever changed for the better

You entered this world and I wrapped my arms around you and you wrapped your tiny little arm around my neck. Life changed. You were mine and I was yours. Forever.
