Princess camp

Ashlyn had the best time at Princess camp. Each day was a different theme: sleepover/makeover, craft day, manners/tea party, ballet day and the final day they performed for the parents. 

The final day! Ready for her performance. She put a lot of thought into her dress and accessories. She laid everything out the night before. Funny Ashlyn story: jason didn't think he was going to make the performance due to work. I told Ashlyn I would video it for daddy. She told me to make sure I got her at a good angle?!?!

Someone is not cooperating with monthly pictures anymore ;) we tried several times/days and this is the best we could get! Oh Addison!!!!

Such a little busy body, but still loves to rock and snuggle. Says sssss when she sees Ashlyn for sissy and bubba for Landon. Says uh-oh and hi. 

After a little delay she is finally babbling MBD (has babbled all other sounds and blows raspberries for a long time) Mamama, dadadada, bbbbbb.  Addison has been on her own timeline for language. We were never really worried because you can tell she is super smart and was ahead on motor skills (only including this for me to remember all the details of her infancy). Loves to eat and up until this week would eat any and all. This week she started not eating or throwing down certain things. Will never turn down peanut butter or fruit. Loves to swim and slash and dunk her face :/ loves her push toys and walks behind them. Loves to rub on her blankies when she's sleeping and when we put her in her crib she reaches for them while asleep. Loves to rub her hair while she's taking a bottle. Loves to rub food in her hair ;) hates getting dressed. Hates getting hot. Loves water but only drinks from real glasses. Loves to dance to music and shake her little booty. Loves to make us laugh and laughs when we laugh. 

Dinner is a circus and the big kids still fight over sitting by Addison.

Sleeping through the night occasionally, but most nights wakes up and needs puppy to go back to sleep

Words fail me when I try to think of the love, joy & happiness you have brought to our family Addison. We are so so so very thankful and love you so much!!!!! ❤️

What a difference a year makes! Thank God she is here this year!!!!

We tagged along on one of Jason's work trips and had the best week playing in SA. We stayed on the River Walk and walked every morning down the river watching them set up for the day. We swam all day then went back to the river at night. The kids looked forward to the Alamo the most. They had both studied it in school this year. We went to the Alamo twice and spent a lot of time there. Of course sweet Addi just tagged along :) she loved swimming and hanging with the big kids.

American Girl

Since the boys have attended several baseball games, Ashlyn decided we needed a girls day. Amen!!! We went to the American Girl doll store and had lunch at their bistro. Ashlyn has looked forward to this day- counting down sleeps. Last night she brought down all her makeup and hair stuff and layed them out to get ready for today. 

Ashlyn was so excited and we had the best time!!! We spent hours just playing in the store. Ashlyn was able to pick out one thing and after much deliberation she picked to get Sara's ears pierced. Wonderful day with my very, very sweet girl.
