Fun with Mommy

Since my maternity leave is almost over :-( :-( :-( I took Landon out of school for the week so we could do fun Houston stuff. He loves school so much & playing with all the kids so he has been going from about 9-3 everyday while I was out on leave which has been great for everyone. Landon got 2 years of undivided attention so it was my only chance to give Ashlyn all my attention while Landon was at school during the day. Bt our week off all together was so much fun!!!!

We stayed in our pajamas and played a little later than usual. Some mornings Landon didn't want his usual Eggo waffle and we would make a 'prise (surprise).

My little chickens watching me get ready every morning. They have to sit in these chairs, in this place (per Landon!)

Landon loved the elephants! He watched them for a long time!

But his favorite were the sea lions. We watched them 3 times!

And of course no week is complete without a trip to "haircut" as Landon calls it. He LOVES this place. He told the lady cutting his hair he was "happy" there!

Thanks baby girl for giving me the best excuse in the world to take 11 weeks off work! It has been a joy taking care of you 24/7. I think I can count on one hand the times I left you with Daddy to run to the store so we have spent LOTS & LOTS of time together- just the girls!!! Luckily, Daddy is keeping you next week so our transition will be a little easier into daycare the next week after. Don't worry, if daycare doesn't work out I will gladly keep you another 11 weeks... or 11 years. Whatever you want!!!!

Hoppy Easter

We had a great Easter! It was special in different ways: it was Ashlyn's first Easter & this year Landon was very excited for the Easter bunny! The babies looked soooo cute in their Easter clothes! Ashlyn had a monogrammed pillow case dress and Landon wore a Polo and seersucker shorts. They looked precious!!!

Landon loved this Easter bunny! He was so excited to go see the Bunny and talk to him!

"Hold her, hold her!" Landon loves to hold Ashlyn!

Ashlyn & I went to Landon's easter party at school. Cute little bunnies!

The cutest little bunny!!!

Easter egg hunt

Landon wasn't very into hunting the eggs. He would grab one, eat the candy- then the next few eggs he would put in the other kid's baskets.

Done with hunting eggs!

Checking out the candy!

For the weekend, we went to stay with Nana & Papa. Landon's Mickey Mouse crib is now girly flowers for Ashlyn. It is so pretty. Thanks Nana & Papa!

We also made a trip to see Great Granny or Ganny as Landon calls her.
Excited to go see Ganny!! Ashlyn has the biggest smile! Anytime you talk to her, she smiles so big! We love it!!!!

Ashlyn & Great Granny meet for the first time! Ashlyn is Great Granny's 13th great grandchild and the first girl in 16 years!

Happy 2 months happy girl!

Ashlyn turned 2 months old on Tuesday, April 12. She is the easiest, bestest baby ever (and Landon is too of course!) She has been sleeping from 9pm-4 am for the past week. AMAZING!!! Last night we had a rough night and were up A LOT, but Jason & I are sick so maybe our coughing woke her up. Either way, it was her first rough night minus the terrible nights in the hospital when we were all waiting for my milk to come in! She has been the BEST sleeper and I hope it continues!!!!
She is the happiest baby. She loves to look at the mobile on her swing and smile & laugh at her friends.

She is very aware and is constantly looking around (mainly scanning the room to find Landon!)

Ashlyn talks a lot!

Wears size 1 diapers, but I really need to move her into the 1-2 size.

I just washed all her 3-6 months clothes because she couldn't stretch her legs out in the 0-3 month sleepers any longer.

Takes a pacifier when she gets fussy around 4ish and sometimes during the day to sleep.

Is very, very close to flipping over from her back to her stomach.

Still sleeping in the craddle, but we probably need to move her to the pack-n-play soon.

LOVES bath time

Smiles a lot and is starting to shriek with excitment if you talk really animated to her

If I pump a bottle, she takes 4 oz. Hasn't had formula yet, but we need to try it out soon :-(

Ashlyn & I wake up before Landon so when he wakes up I put her in her swing so I can carry Landon down. The very first thing he does every morning is go over to her swing and lay on her and give her a million kisses and tell her "morning Ashie" over and over. She has the biggest smile on her face! Favorite part of everyone's day!

Busy Babies

Have to include this picture of Landon. He always says "time mommy, k?" and holds up one finger. Meaning one more time, ok? So I had him pose for this picture so I can always remember it because it cracks me up!
Jason & I are crazy and we decided to take them out to dinner. We took them to a Hibachi grill so Landon would have entertainment from the chef.

We all survived! Even though this isn't the best picture, I have to post it because Ashlyn is laughing at Landon.

Sweet babies after dinner!

Jason took Landon to the Astros Home opener on Friday. Landon looked forward to going to this game forever and has talked about the "ballgame" every day since. Jason said Landon was so good during the game and cheered the entire time!
So happy to be with Daddy at the game!

Saturday I took Landon & Ashlyn to his school carnival. Landon had a blast playing with his buddies at school. He loved riding the "choo choo". After the carnival, he had a birthday party, then Nana & Papa drove in to stay the night. It was a BUSY day!

His first time riding a real ride... a little scared, but he liked it.

He picked out a sun for them to paint on his face.

Sweet baby sister just slept all morning in her stroller while Landon ran around like a wild man!

Last week, Cameron came over for a playdate.

Best buddies

The Easter bunny came to Landon's school for pictures so I dressed them both up for pictures. Sweet Ashlyn Kate dressed up & ready for the Easter bunny.

So cute & ready for the Easter bunny!

Ripping the bow off= picture time is over!

Happy 8 week birthday Ashlyn!

Such a happy baby!
