Down on the Farm

We took Landon & Ashlyn to Dewberry Farms today and met our friends Holly, Dane, and baby Kassidy out there. We can only tell Landon a few days in advance before we do something because he asks about it every day until we go. Last night and this morning, it was almost torture for him waiting to go to the pumpkin patch. He was sooooooo excited!!!

Ready for the hayride out to the pumpkin patch

Typical: Landon studying the situation and Ash just happy to be out of her stroller and able to do something big brother is doing.

Ashlyn was so excited!!Landon finally approving of the situation!

Pumpkin patch cuties

Landon was too worried about getting back on the tractor to smile....

Heading back to the farm for fun! And Landon had a BLAST! He played on the fort, went down slides, jumped, watched animated chickens sing, saw a bunch of animals, etc. He could have stayed all day! After 4 hours, Jason, Ash and I were ready to go! :-( Last year, I was big, hot and pregnant so we only stayed a few hours too. Sorry Landon! Next year we will stay longer!!!
Big slide!!!

One of many trips around the fort

Landon LOVED swinging on the rope and falling in the hay

Playing "corn ball"

Watching the pig races

Landon on the jumps. When we first got to the farm, Landon really wanted to do the jumps (as he called them). Well... certain things cost extra at the farm and Jason & I decided his "extra" thing to do would be ride the pony. After buying tokens, waiting in line, waiting for the ponies to have a break, etc. it was finally his turn to ride -after ample time of studying them and studying the situation (which Landon needs).... and he refused!!!! He ran away out of line. So he got to use to his tokens for the "jumps".
He was so happy on the "jumps". Definitely not as cute as a pony ride!!! Then on the way home, he cried because he didn't get to ride the pony. :-( Tonight as I was putting him to bed, he asked me again about the pony- where it was, etc. I wish he would have just rode the dang pony!!!!

Pony ride or not- both babies had a blast! And slept on the way home AND went to bed early= successful day!
