School pics March 2012

Landon is 3 going on 30. He does everything Jason & I do. He goes to "work", makes phone calls to work (in detail with what he has heard us say), has work calling him all the time, drives his jeep around and runs errands, washes his car, and is very into our "business". His favorite stories are what happened to us at work and loves to hear all the details- "then what Daddy?" "Tell me about the lady in the hospital Mommy". He loves our "business" around the house and his favorite people are the "girls" our angel house cleaners and Armador who mows our lawn. He needs to know everything that is going on. The sweetest thing is he thanks us for taking care of Ashie. It is so sweet! Current obsessions: popsicles, Cars, Toy Story, Bubble Guppies, the letter of the week at school (knows 1/2 alphabet), and shopping. Oh Landon, we love you to the moon and back (and back again!!)
We joke that Ashlyn woke up from her first birthday a diva. She enjoyed the attention she received so much from her birthday weekend, that she found her voice and opinion over night. Our quiet, easy going baby is gone! We have an opinionated, smart, funny, and very loving little toddler! (sounds like a description for Landon too :-)) It has been very fun/funny to watch her little personality develop over these past few months. The top 2 words I can think of to describe her personality are: loving and dramatic. She is very cuddly and loves to sit with us, hold her, hug us, kiss us. The truth be told, she would be perfectly happy if I held her and carried her around all day. I don't think she would ever want down. If she is playing, she often comes over to hug us or sit in our lap. It is very sweet and we love it! She is dramatic because everything is full force. When she is sick, she is SICK. Crying all day, etc. If Landon takes her toy, she SCREAMS and screams until she gets it back. If she bumps her head, its like someone has really hurt her and the worst is if we get on to her (for biting :/ ugh!!!) she throws herself into the floor and has a big meltdown. Oh my, these past 2 months have been very entertaining. She can already sing the intro letters to the Dora and Bubble Guppies song! HA! We love, love, love you Ashlyn!!!!

Seriously- cutest kids EVER!!!!

Easter 2012
Ty and Jenny came over for lunch and it was so nice to spend the afternoon with them. After they left, Landon was one big ball of energy (sugar high) so we had to get out of the house. We decided to drive down to Galveston and let him run on the beach and go to dinner on the Seawall. Unexpectedly, the water was really warm and Landon ended up swimming. Ashlyn had a blast playing in the sand. We had McDonald's in the car on the way home- not quite what we had planned, but it was the perfect way to end our Easter weekend!

Walk this Way!

Ashlyn had a BIG day today. First, she started a new class at daycare and they take naps on mats on the floor. I couldn't believe she would do this so I had them send me a picture. I consider this one of the great wonders of the world. I can't believe they can get 1 year olds to sleep on mats! They said she did great. Layed right down and fell to sleep.

Then, we came home and after dinner Jason and I were trying to trick Ashlyn into walking. We were tempting her with baby dolls. FINALLY after about 30 minutes, she stood there for a while then took a step. Once she did it, we kept practicing over and over and she got it down!!! Now she won't stop walking :-) It was such a fun memory for Jason, Landon & me. I am so happy we were all here to see it!
Walk this way!!
So proud!
Spaghetti for dinner
Everyone's favorite (and "circles" aka Zucchini- Landon's fav)
Before Ash started walking, Landon would walk her around like this. It was so sweet!
Sunday, we took the babies to see the Easter bunny.
Checking out the fish
Landon telling the Easter bunny he wants two toothbrushes for Easter
Obviously, it was a little stressful
Landon settled in, Ash did not
Sweet babies!!!!
