The photo girl told me most people don't want the picture if their kids are crying. I told her to keep snapping- these are our memories! :-) Right after they got down, the both stopped crying- all was fine. Landon got his picture and hugged it and said "I looooove Santa!" and looked at his picutre all day. Fast forward a few days and Santa was coming to the kids' school. You had to prepay for the pics so I decided to not subject Landon or Ashlyn (or Santa for that matter) to a screaming fit especially since I wouldn't be there. The school told me he would still see Santa, just not sit in his lap to take a picture. I picked Landon up from school that day and the very first thing he told me was "Mommy I didn't get to take my picture with Santa!" and slapped his leg. I felt sooooo bad. I told him we would go right then to see Santa and take his picture, but he insisted Santa was only at school. UGH!!!! Later that night he told me, "Mommy all my friends went to see Santa and I had to read books with Ms. Rena" We felt horrible. I kept telling him we could go see Santa anytime, but he was insistent he was only at school for that day and no where else. Fast forward a few days and one night we were out making a mad dash trying to get together Christmas stuff. Landon said " I need to talk to Santa" so of course we took him back to the store so he could talk to him since he was finally over the school incident. Once again, we get there, stand in line, and Landon starts to back out.... so the only way we could get Landon to take a pic. was to all be in it. Lovely!
Most importantly though, Landon got to talk to Santa for a while and seems to be over the school incident!
