Back in the summer, we booked a trip to NYC during the holidays. I thought it would be so fun to show the kids all the Christmas lights in the city and see the tree. Unfortunately, a huge winter storm hit the day we were to leave.... they referred to it as a bomb cyclone. All flights were canceled, but they were letting us rebook for the next day. In hindsight, we should have canceled- but we thought it wouldn't be that bad and decided to go anyways. It was FREEZING!!! They were issuing advisories to NOT go outside at all. Luckily I had taken all of our ski gear, but it was still bitterly cold. The minute we stepped outside our phones died due to the cold so we don't have many pictures. We tried to make the best of it, but it is definitely a trip to remember!
The weather channel advised people to stay home!
But, we left warm Texas and headed into the freeze!!!!!!!
Yikes! It's cold! What were we thinking?!?!? Addison had a cookie so she thought NYC was awesome.
Each kid picked one special thing: Landon picked to ice skate in Rockefeller and Ashlyn picked the American Girl doll store and her & Addi each got a baby and doll from AG.
We stayed in Times Square. This is the view from our room- awesome!!!!
Dinner at Carmines. Delicious!!!
Dessert at Serendipity
