First Few Weeks as a Family of 4....

Our first few weeks have been wonderful. Landon has adjusted better than Jason & I ever expected! He loves Ashie so much!!!! He asks about her right when he wakes up in the morning and has to check on her in her craddle. When we pick him up from daycare, he asks about her. The other day Jason tried to take Landon to the park after school and he wouldn't stay because he wanted to go home to see "mommy & Ashie".

Ashlyn is a really easy going baby and wakes up several times throughout the night only to nurse. Actually she doesn't wake up, she stirs and I feed her and she goes right back to sleep. Last night was the very first night she woke up and was unhappy at night. She was up from 4:00 am- 6:30 am. Pretty great considering she is only 2 weeks old! It has been so nice having a newborn that sleeps :-)

She is nursing really well. When we left the hospital on Feb. 14 she weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. At her first pedi appt Feb. 16, she weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz and by the 2nd appt on Feb. 25 she weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz. She is in the 75% for weight & height. She is on track to be a chunky monkey baby just like big brother!!!

Proud Big Brother! (Sonic slush on his shirt and Reese's candy in his mouth- we aren't above bribes to get a good picture!!)

"I did it!" Other favorite sayings these days- " I got it!" and "want to, want to, want to" means I don't want to.

Ashlyn after her first bath- Feb. 16

Looking at Daddy very closely

Loves her swing

Being a big brother is a breeze! Eating his waffle and "holding" Ashlyn before school.

Landon all ready for school

Turning up her swing (yikes!) before he leaves- Feb. 17

Landon has to wear pull ups at night because he was taking off his regular diaper. He LOVES his "big boys" as he calls them. Every night after we put them on he says "me, me, me". That means he wants to look at himself in the mirror. He checks out every angle and wants Jason & I in there to look at him too. It's so funny!!!
We love our entertaining 2 year old & sweet baby girl!
